Built by people who got tired
of watching producers get taxed.
Beats4Legends started as a beat store. It's coming back as the marketplace we always wished existed.
Somewhere along the way, beat marketplaces forgot who the product is for.
Producers do the work: the sound design, the arrangement, the endless uploads, the self-promotion. Then the platform takes a cut of every sale, sits on the payout for a month or two, keeps the fan emails for itself, and charges extra for the tools that should have been standard. The producer built the catalog; the platform built the moat.
We think that model is backwards, and we're building the inversion of it:
- Keep up to 100%. The free tier keeps 90% of every sale; Producer Pro drops commission to 0%. The platform earns by selling optional tools — AI voice tags, storage, Pro features — not by taxing your art.
- Fast payouts. Days, not the 30–60 day holds that treat your income like a suspicious transaction.
- Your audience is yours. Captured emails sync out to AWeber, Mailchimp, and friends automatically. If you ever leave, your list leaves with you.
- One-stop shop. Storefront, licensing with real auto-generated contracts, voice tags, pitching, analytics, collaboration — in one place, most of it free.
Why "Make Songs that Make History"?
Because that's the actual job. Nobody gets into production dreaming about payout thresholds and dashboard exports. The admin layer of this business should be invisible so the creative layer can be everything. Our tagline is the mission statement: we handle the machinery, you make the records people remember.
Where we are right now
The marketplace is in active development and launches at app.beats4legends.com. This site is the front porch: the blog covers licensing, selling, and the craft while we build, and the waitlist is your ticket to day one.
Questions, ideas, skepticism? We answer email — say hello.
Help us build it right.
Early members shape the platform — feature requests from the waitlist have already changed the roadmap.
